Thoughts, musings, and, hopefully, not too many redundancies on the world of business data. If you missed the irony in the previous sentence, you may struggle with my writing style.

Hey Tim,
A quick clarification - the categories are sorting the results into buckets to make them easier to work with. And you can define those. So they're not really apples & oranges (we can discuss that one in the future! :) )

Also, a result can go into more than one.

Nice thoughtful post. The people using SM2 need a tool that aggregates everything in social media in one place, provides analysis where you may have hundreds of thousands of results to parse and offers reporting. You can't get any of these things from the free services or Pipes. The historical data is in our Social Media Warehouse and it is pretty big- currently over 700 million results with up to 30 fields of meta data per result. And we're adding 10 million results daily! And everything in your searches is exportable with user-configurable fields...
You can get a free version at http://sm2.techrigy.com

@Connie I thought about screen captures during the demo, but that seemed wrong (I definitely would have caught the "advanced themes" bubble chart, as that seemed really innovative and useful). But, I actually got those screens directly from the Techrigy site. Hmmmm. I wonder if that was okay?

Hey Tim,
I see that you were taking screens while I was driving. Thank you for bringing your analytical expertise to the demo.

And I am excited about joining Aaron & his team! We share the same philosophy about the importance of community.

(Had I known how the 3D charting affects you I would've never went there!)

Tim,

We are VERY lucky to have Connie.

Great feedback! It is good to see outside-in perspectives. I'm hoping we can really keep evolving it and factor in the things you brought up.

Regards,
Aaron
