About Bulldog Solutions

My day job is as the Director of Business Process Analytics for Bulldog Solutions, Inc., a B2B demand generation company. It’s a great gig!

Bulldog Solutions helps B2B companies develop and implement demand generation strategies and tactics. What does that mean? Well, the world is changing, thanks to the internet. New media, social media, Web 2.0. Call it what you want. The best read I’ve found that describes the what and why of that whole dynamic is Wikinomics. A shorter, more recent book that narrows the focus to how new media is changing Marketing is now is gone by Geoff Livingston. The reality is that no one has really figured this out. And, technologies and behaviors are changing so rapidly that Marketers will be playing catch-up for the foreseeable future.

Bulldog Solutions is running like crazy to figure that out. We know some things that absolutely do and do not work today, but we keep testing and measuring to make sure that those hold true. And, we are constantly experimenting with new approaches — internally for our own Marketing efforts, and with clients when they are interested — to find out what else might work. We have an on-going project called Operation Dogfood (corny, I know) where we constantly track how and where we are “eating our own dogfood.” At Bulldog Solutions, we have a very active R&D department. We call that department “Marketing.” That makes things stressful as hell, but also a lot of fun!
